The VRBO Bear and family enjoyed an incredible after-Christmas stay in this cozy and convenient villa in Destin, Florida! We enjoyed the beautiful Destin Beach, a mere 50 steps away and had few tourists due to this being the off-season. The villa had comfortable furniture and several amenities to make our stay feel like we were at home. The five of us stayed in both sections of the villa and had ample amounts of space to cook/eat together and also go to our separate rooms for some downtime. Our gracious host made sure we had plenty of information on local things-to-do, restaurants, and even the weather so we could make the most of our time. We ventured out most days to either grab a bite or enjoy the perfect sand and water on the beach. We particularly enjoyed The Crab Trap restaurant since it is directly across the street from the villa, has a great food and beverage selection, and a playground out back for the kids! We truly enjoyed our white sand holiday getaway and look forward to returning this summer!

Best Vacation!!

We loved every minute of our stay! The whole villa is very clean, and there was plenty of space for 4 adults and 3 young children (we rented it all!). The views are fantastic, and proximity to the beach is just as described. The pool is great too!! Everything was very well thought out by the owners. I especially loved all the hooks placed throughout the villa to hang towels and swimsuits on so they didn't end up on the floor. The lake is serene, and we enjoyed sitting on the back balcony at night listening to the frogs, and watching the turtles in the mornings. The surrounding area is relatively quiet, with less traffic than Hwy 98. But, it was nice to be so close to all the shopping and grocery stores too. Laura was very responsive from day one, and we even got to meet her! We will be back, no doubt!

This has been our third time to stay at this lovely villa. The owners (who are delightful to work with) just painted the villa's exterior and the master bedroom which really updated the space. We love the balcony on the front where we spent many mornings sipping coffee and watching the dolphins swim by. My boys also love fishing in the lake behind us which also is a beautiful view. The master bedroom is delightful, It has its own half bath, king size bed and a tv what else could you ask for! The beach is just across the way and is easy to get to and if I may say the most beautiful beach we have ever seen! The villa is in a great location close to wonderful places to eat. The pool is also an easy walk from the villa, my boys liked to take a quick dip in after a day at the beach! We enjoyed snuba diving, deep sea fishing, shopping, go carts, relaxing on the beach and yoga on the beach. This villa is the perfect space. We will continue to come back for years to come.

Girl's Weekend Get~A~Way

We had the entire villa (Both upstairs and downstairs) and had a wonderful time. The beds are very comfortable, the kitchen is fully stocked, bathrooms are spacious, plenty of space to spread out and enjoy this perfect beach vacation spot! The beach access is easy and the pool a very short easy walk. Because this is a corner unit, you have very easy access to the parking lot and not noisy neighbors. The view of the beach from both balconies/porches are beautiful for watching sunsets and the back of the villa overlooking the lake offers beautiful sunrises. The villa is close to incredible restaurants and a short distance to outlet and Destin Commons shopping. THe perfect location for families seeking beach vacations and for girls get a ways!

Such a wonderful rental property! The ocean view is magnificent - just across the way. Loved sitting on the balcony and watching and listening to the surf. The rooms were very inviting and home-like. We had a great time in Destin and at the villa. We rented both floors of the villa for 2 families of 5 and it was great. The location, the view and the accommodations were perfect for us. The beach was just across the street and the pool was a very short walk. We loved just watching people and the ocean from the balcony. The villa was stocked with anything and everything that we needed. We can't wait to come back again! On a side note, don't try to cross the Mid-bay bridge on a Saturday evening. It took us over 1 1/2 hours to get 5 miles waiting to go through the toll.

Memories that last a lifetime!

We chose the Villa for our stay for a later in life "destination wedding". We brought our teenage and adult children and two granddaughters and had a intimate wedding on the beach. The location of the Villa is perfect. Our wedding party walked across the street and the Pastor and photographer were waiting for us! We rented the entire Villa. The views are incredible. The Villa is beautiful, has everything you need to enjoy a day on the beach, fish in the lake or prepare a delicious meal for a family of 12. There are many things to do nearby, but you don't have to spend money to be entertained. We brought games and played some of the games furnished at the villa! We made long lasting memories and will always remember this vacation.
We plan to return to the Villa!

Great getaway spot!

This was a great vacation spot for our family of 4 (kids ages 5,11). The condo was nicely decorated, with very comfortable beds, lots of towels and just about everything we needed for the kitchen. The unit was very clean upon arrival, instructions from the owner were very easy to understand. The views from the front balcony were great of the ocean and in the evening we did a lot of people watching from there. The rear views from the balcony were great too especially of the sunset. The kids really loved feeding the turtles and fish from the balcony. The pool area was nice with plenty of seating. It really is just a few steps away. There was plenty of parking and the traffic was not too bad, making it easy to go to and from the beach. My only complaint is that we brought too much stuff to the beach and had to haul it back and forth every day (I will remember to pack smaller next time). The in-unit washer and dryer (hi efficiency) were easy to use and are located in the second bedroom. The second bedroom was small but the kids really didn't spend any time in there because we were so busy with other fun things to do. Many things are close- restaurants, shopping, mini golf, ice cream parlor, etc. it was a great trip! Thanks to the wonderful owners for making it so easy! We hope to be back again in 2015!

Escape from it all at the Villa!

I do not have enough space here to talk about how wonderful our stay at the Villa was! I can definitely tell you that we will be back, and we are counting down the days! The main draw was the emerald water and can I tell you that it didn't disappoint! We even inadvertently swam with dolphins one day - an amazing experience! The second draw is the lovely Villa and the perfect location. Our family of 5 had planned many activities to keep the kiddos occupied (11, 8 and 7) and the fun going; however, it was totally unnecessary. The Villa was perfect - we stayed in 3A - and we didn't need to add any additional activities because the Villa had it all! Excellent views of the ocean in the front and a beautiful lake with turtles and fish in the back. Both views had balconies, which was very nice. The pool was so close and refreshing! The beds were super comfortable. The place was clean, cozy, and there's a front loading washer and dryer in the bunk bed room. Our only challenge was doing laundry because we didn't want to do it at night while the kiddos were sleeping. And we didn't want to do it during the day because we were at the beach, the lake or the pool! The kitchen was very well equipped - so well equipped that we only ventured out twice and cooked almost all of our meals in so we could soak up more of the lovely views! Please note that there is only one bathtub/shower, which worried us when we got there, but it worked out perfectly for the 5 of us. Laura was amazing. We had a very small issue due to a power outage and she was responsive and had a solution within the hour. She went above and beyond to ensure that we enjoyed every single second of our stay. We were delighted with all of the amenities. The beach was not crowded, the Crab Trap is within walking distance if you want to enjoy a night out. We ventured to the beach after dark and could see fireworks - we assume that one of the piers we read about was launching them but we honestly couldn't bear to leave our spot to explore. We also had fun with catch/release of sand crabs (bring your flashlights and a net!) I have recommended Destin and the Villa to many friends. We were all VERY sad to leave. It's been almost a month and the kids are still talking about our vacation daily. That's definitely a first! I hope you and your family have as many wonderful memories on your vacation as my family has enjoyed. Thanks, Laura and Gregg for a wonderful stay! 5 stars just isn't enough!

Our first Destin vacation!

My brother had stayed in these villas for a few years now and he had recommended them to us. We were not disappointed. The villas are very clean and are in a great location. The view from the balconies are unbelievable. We loved having a king sized bed in the master and our two boys loved having their own room with bunk beds! We enjoyed relaxing mornings in the condo and would pack a lunch for the beach. Destin is any easy place to navigate and has plenty of things to do to keep you busy but its the beach that does it for us. I have never seen a more beautiful beach than Destiny beach. We also watched pods of dolphins swimming by on a daily basis. We are going to return and stay in this same condo. The owner is very easy to work with and was helpful. Best beach vacation we have ever taken. Oh and the lake is a great place to watch turtles and to go fishing.

We loved the villa. Awesome location with easy walk to the beach. We love the pool because it is so close, never crowded and always clean and the perfect temperature. My teenager loved throwing a fishing line off the back deck into the lake. Very nice updated kitchen.

We have been visiting Destin for 13 years and have stayed in numerous units at the Villas at Destiny. This was by far our favorite unit! Beautifully appointed and well equipped. The unit was perfectly clean and comfortable. The owner was very communicative and extremely pleasant to work with. I cannot say enough about this unit. We could see and hear the ocean from the front porch and could be on the beach within two minutes. Our children are still talking about our vacation! My wife and I and our two children (2 and 5) stayed at this location last week. This is the second year in a row to stay here, and I think it is important to let you know we have never stayed at the same place twice. We always look for new places, but this place just was so good that we stayed again. The location is perfect for someone who wants to experience Destin. All of the shopping and restaurants are easy to navigate from this location. The beach here is wonderful. It is across the street from a public parking access to the beach. That may seem a disadvantage, but I assure you the opposite is true. You see, a lot of Destin has high rise buildings. This area does not. Most are two stories only and that means less people. Even when you add in the parking, the beaches here are less crowded than everywhere else. It is even next to a private part of the beach that rarely is used. So, here is a hint. Enter the beach area and head to the left. Get as close to the signs that say "Private Beach Area" and you will have your own little beach area. Normally there is no depth to the people on this beach, they are all just next to each other as opposed to 3 or 4 deep. So, I think I have given you enough information to know this is a good beach area. The condo is fantastic. It is clean and the king sized bed is extremely comfortable. They have everything you need to enjoy your stay. We don't cook a lot while we are there, but enough to know they have everything you would need including a blender. The second room has two bunk beds and it was perfect for our kids. It also has an HE washer and dryer. You also have two balconies. One that looks to the ocean and one that overlooks a lake. If you are looking at this condo to rent I can't say enough about the owners who are very responsive, the location, the condo itself and the beach. I highly recommend this location.

Fantastic Stay!
The condo is fantastic. It is clean and the king sized bed is extremely comfortable. They have everything you need to enjoy your stay. We don't cook a lot while we are there, but enough to know they have everything you would need including a blender. The second room has two bunk beds and it was perfect for our kids. It also has an HE washer and dryer. You also have two balconies. One that looks to the ocean and one that overlooks a lake. If you are looking at this condo to rent I can't say enough about the owners who are very responsive, the location, the condo itself and the beach.

Breathtaking Views..Paradise at it's best!!
The villa was one of the best rentals we have stayed in! Clean, decorater appointed and views of the Gulf that soothe your soul and make you never want to leave! We tried many of the owner’s suggestions for dinner and places to go. They have a binder with local restaurants, menus and that made our vacation so much easier. These owners have great taste!
We enjoyed our coffee on the back deck watching the sunrise over the Lake and our wine on the front deck watching the sunset over the Gulf. Surrounded by wate ,comfortable beds, designer linens that were clean , towels that were thick and new, updated furniture and new stackable full size HE Washer/Dryer made us feel so at home
The kitchen was appointed with all the equipment and cookware to make gourmet meals. We enjoyed a few meals at the villa and my husband, a chef trained at the CIA in Hyde Park NY complimented the owners for having so many little extras available to guests . The magnificent view of the Gulf from the dining table made our meals we ate in romantic and even more enjoyable.
The area Outlet malls was outstanding and the little shops were wonderful. We took a day to go down to Seaside and enjoyed a market on the green. We purchased an apple pie that was better than Grandma's. Only steps away from the villa is the white sandy beach where we got fantastic tans and enjoyed the blue green waters everyday of our visit! I must say, I work for a large condominium rental development in St. Augustine and I am implementing a lot of the Kirbys ideas and details to their customer service at our property. We are already planning a longer stay on our next visit....Charm, Cleanliness, Southern Hospitality and the value of the rental was above what we ever expected. The only thing we were not happy with was not being able to stay longer......next time we are staying more than a week!! Thanks Kirby family for allowing us to stay at you piece of paradise!

Best vista of all the villas!
Working with the owner was great, prompt responses quick registration, she provided local hot spots which helped us trying to figure out what to do, aside from beach of course. Regarding the beach, this villa had THE BEST VIEW of the ocean. I would absolutely rent this villa again! Perfect location!
